Business as usual with the Lake District weather this afternoon. Drizzle, dull skies, & clag. Sunday's wonderful afternoon light was but a memory.
Today's excursion: a relatively low level 7+ mile circular route from Tarn Hows, taking in Black Crag & Holme Fell. The latter, though the highest point on the route, is only 317m, yet was still shrouded in low cloud, & the descent was not straightforward for this first time visitor.
Still, wouldn't have changed a thing!
Not sure if the word 'clag' is peculiar to northern England, but folk hereabouts would certainly need to have invented the word if it didn't already exist.
Regardless, there sure was a lot in this part of north western England today!
